Pace man, Mohammad Sami, lead the way for his side, with bat and ball. First scoring a crucial 48 and then grabbing 2/47, followed up with a match winning 5/37, in an innings and 12 run victory over ZTBL. Zohaib Khan, took 2/83 and contributed 73*, alongside Faisal Ather’s 43, in a losing cause.
PIA and Rawalpindi, played a thrilling game, which saw Rawalpindi fall an agonising 17 runs short in a quest to chase down 354. Mohammad Rameez’s blitz of 59* in 44 balls in vain. The game also saw, Shoaib Khan follow last week’s 101, with 70. Tahir Khan contributed with bat and ball, and Rameez, also taking 5 wickets in the game. Rameez’s excellent start, sees him make the Pakistan U25 side for the SAARC games in Maldives.
Riaz Afridi scored a quick 59 as Lahore Ravi was dispatched inside 3 days in a solid all round team effort.
KRL beat Lahore Shalimar by 8 wickets, largely thanks to Bazid Khan’s excellent 103. Former Test
star, Mohammad Wasim, added a personal 44. Adnan Raza scored 50 in Lahore’s innings.
